Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 2026

Overview

CalendarCost is designed with privacy as a core principle. We minimize data collection and keep your information on your device whenever possible.

What we collect

Google Calendar access: We request read-only access to your Google Calendar to detect meeting attendees. This data is processed locally in your browser and is not sent to our servers.

Salary estimation requests: When estimating salaries, we send anonymized data (company domain, inferred role, location) to our API. We do not store this data or link it to your identity.

What we don't collect

  • Your actual salary or anyone else's
  • Meeting content, recordings, or transcripts
  • Your Google account password
  • Personal information beyond what's necessary for the extension

Local storage

Salary estimates and your settings are stored locally in your browser using the extension's storage API. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly share it.

Third-party services

We use Claude (Anthropic) to generate salary estimates. Requests to this service include only company domain, role, and location — never personal identifiers or actual salary information.

Data deletion

All locally stored data can be deleted by uninstalling the extension. Since we don't store personal data on our servers, there's nothing additional to delete.
